Identification of Model Soldier

Hi there,
I just wonder if you could help me to identify and date this model soldier please.
It stands 75mm high and has what I presume is the makers name'Ray Lamb' on the bottom of the base.

I really can't be certain but he looks like a Confederate to me, but I'll blog your letter in the hope that someone else can. Yes Ray Lamb was a British maker in the 70's
